Welcome to the Career Connection

Quote of the week: "Ten set backs are the going price for one worthwhile win."

I've seen this line quoted often, but I'm not sure who said it originally - but it tells us that it's O.K. to fail. Many times it is only in failure that we can achieve success. Even if we fail over and over, we learn each time (hopefully) and will eventually achieve success. The bottom line? Don't give up!

Question of the week: How many books have you read this week? One characteristic someone in a successful career is that they read - and read often.

No time? It does not have to be a long read, even a magazine article will keep you up to date on what is going on in the business world. Does audio work best for you? Plenty of commute time? Try audio books - available at many local libraries.
