October 17 2010 Mystery Books Newsletter

Hi everyone,

The featured mystery review this week highlights a thriller set in the Bahamas. This was one of those books that I literally could not put down. Every time I did, I would pick it back up - it is that addictive!

Here's the latest article from the Mystery Books site at BellaOnline.com.

Shadow Cay Review
As two powerhouse organizations prepare to join forces, vigilante Madeleine Nesbitt vows to stop the man-with-no-conscience before he can destroy more lives in this action-packed Bahamas-based suspense novel.

Are you watching the second season of the Wallander series? The last of three offerings in this series is tonight, Sunday, October 17, on Masterpiece Mystery! Check your local PBS station for the correct time in your area.

Personally, I think Kenneth Branagh is one great actor! How about you? The series is based on the soul-searching Swedish cop created by novelist Henning Mankell in his series of Wallander novels.

From what I have heard, this series is much darker than the original Swedish version from Yellowbird Productions with Krister Henriksson. I intend to check that series out as I hear it is on DVD. You can let us know what you think of this series by leaving a comment on the Mystery Books forum.
