May 19 2010 Mystery Books Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Hope the weather is as beautiful in your area as it is in mine. A beautiful Spring day with the sound of lawnmowers as a backdrop.

This featured novel is the first in a series that also includes Frame-up, author John F. Dobbyns's latest Michael Knight story.

I chose to place this review first although I did read the other book before Neon Dragon. They are both very good novels and I am looking forward to more in this new series.

Here is the latest article from the Mystery Books site at BellaOnline.com.

Neon Dragon Review
Rising-star defense attorney Michael Knight lands a high-profile and sensitive case that takes him into the depths of gangland Chinatown. In the meantime, he seeks the truth about the jury tampering accusation that sidelined his friend and mentor ten years ago.

This quote is from a recent Criminal Minds episode. One of the characters said this, so I do not know if it is a quote or a line written by the writers. Anyway, it impressed me enough to write it down, and it reminds me of our featured novel for this week.

Quote from Criminal Minds:

Scars remind us where we have been. They do not need to dictate where we are going.
