My dear niece and her husband have lost a beloved friend who was like a brother to them and an uncle to their children. He was much loved by all and will be greatly missed at the family gatherings and in daily life. At times like this it is good that we have our faith to hold us up. Together in prayer we support each other with our great love and faith.

Grandfather, Great Spirit, as our dear brother walks on
Grant that he may follow the trail of peace,
And rest in the land of his ancestors,
And be in harmony at the campfire in Your spirit world.
Send strength and courage to his family who are grieving
And heal them, O' Great Spirit.

Grandfather, Great Spirit, hold up his beloved wife
And give her courage to walk Mother Earth in peace
Till she is once more beside her beloved husband
In Your world of eternal peace.
He was a good man on Earth and will be missed.
Yet we know he is safe in Your care.

Thank you, O' Great Spirit.
