The Democratic Party Newsletter is a weekly email that lets you know what’s happening at BellaOnline’s Democratic Party site. As the new site editor and a loyal Democrat for over thirty years, I want to provide you with both timely and historic information about the Democratic Party. With a Democratic President and majority in Congress, it’s certainly an exciting time for us, so the site will never lack for new featured articles.
I have carefully considered the site subject areas in order to ensure that a broad variety of issues can be covered. The subject areas are:
Constitutional Rights—It’s time we started getting them back.
Economic Issues—It’s time we started getting economic stability and equality, too.
Elections and Voting -- 2010 is sooner than you think.
Faith and Science—How these two intersect with politics makes for some of the most complex and intriguing issues of our time.
Fixing Government—Some say corruption is an inherent part of government, but there are always crusaders fighting against it.
Foreign Policy—Whether it’s the Middle East, North Korea, or the EU, there’s always something happening elsewhere that affects us here.
Health Care—It is perhaps the number-one issue of our lifetime.
History—The Democratic Party has a long history full of inspiring stories.
Leaders—The people leading the party are a fascinating group of individuals.
Media—We can’t live with it and we can’t live without it.
People-Powered—Barack Obama was elected because we created a culture of organizing.
Platform—How much do you actually know about the Democratic Party Platform?
Reviews—It seems as if a new book on politics comes out every week. This section will keep you up-to-date.
Site of the Month—I’m expecting lots of “green” sites . . .
War—I wish we could call this subject area “Peace,” but until then . . .
The Democratic Party site at BellaOnline also includes a forum, where you can participate in lively discussions about current events and issues near and dear to us all. The forum is located at
