Are you planning a trip to Mexico? Learn more about where you're headed and what you might see on restaurant menus. Many of my articles include information on the region, background, and history of the food. What's the difference betwen Aztec and Mayan food? Can you really eat cactus?

Planning a Mexican party? How about a traditional Mexican breakfast for a family get-together? I'll be including menu planning for special occasions or just a weekend barbeque.

I'll also have a series of 'Mexican Food Basics'. How to make corn tortillas, flour tortillas, red sauce, green sauce, salsas, and more. These are recipes you'll use again and again in different combinations to create exciting new meals.

As I'm primarily writing for people who live outside of Mexico, I'll also be including ingredient substitutions and information on how to convert Celcius and metric measurements.

As you'll see in my bio, I'm an expatriated Scot who lived in the United States and now lives in Mexico. From haggis tacos to Taco Bell to panuchos in Yucatan, I've experienced a great many varieties of Mexican food and love to write about, cook, and eat them.

( P.S. Please don't send a request for haggis tacos, that was a joke.)
