Greetings!

Thank you for your interest in subscribing the philosophy newsletter at BellaOnline!

Philosophy, commonly thought as a dull, unpractical subject, is actually the cornerstone of our human existence. The human specie differs from others due to our ability to reason and apply our reasoning at a higher level. Reasoning and thoughts are the foundation of philosophy.

On this philosophy site, my goal is to define philosophy in a practical sense. Philosophy is simply composed of branches of belief systems throughout the centuries. Philosophy is also composed of secular beliefs of common people just like you and me, and it does not only belong to great philosophers such as Plato or Aristotle.

Many people shy away from the subject of philosophy due to the fact that some of us are uncomfortable to be involved in serious discussions to voice our thoughts. For centuries, we are taught to follow others’ doctrines. Even with the great progression of feminism movement in the last century, women’ equality to voice and honor our belief systems are still in its youth.

I want to encourage women to be independent, and strong thinkers. We think not only with logic, but also with our innate intuitions. Logic and intuitions are gifts to all mankind. Instead of discounting our abilities, we need to make a conscious choice to honor our gifts.

The philosophy newsletter will bring you updates on the most current articles on the BellaOnline Philosophy site. It is absolutely free to subscribe!

Taylor Newman, BellaOnline Philosophy Editor
