Welcome to the Scottish Culture site. I'm so glad you decided to visit and I hope you make this site a regular stop on your travels. What qualifies me to be the editor of this site? Well, I was born in Scotland, Oban to be exact. My great-grandmother was a Campbell. I left Scotland when I was twelve-years-old when my parents decided we were moving to Canada. I do have a lot of family still in Scotland and I am very proud of my heritage. I hope to show fellow Scots, current residents and expatriates, all the reasons why we should be proud of our Scottish heritage, and to show those who are not Scottish the great contributions that the Scottish race has made to the world. Mike Myers statement that "if it's not Scottish, it's crap!" may not be totally true, but it's close!

This site covers all aspects of Scottish culture and life. You will find articles about historic buildings, famous Scottish writers, traveling within Scotland, Scottish sports, Scottish heroes and much, much more. So please come back often to see what is new and exciting. You might just learn something new! I plan to add one new article a week to the site. Please also register on our forum to get in on some interesting discussions with like-minded people.

Since you are on this page you obviously have an interest in our newsletter, Scottish Scribbles. Subscribing to the newsletter is a good way for you to know when I have published a new article. In addition to highlighting new articles, the newsletter will also mention what is new on the forum, what is new at BellaOnline and will feature lots of other exciting information. The newsletter will be delivered once a week on the same day. It will be a very quick read and will not clog your inbox with unnecessary information.

You will notice a box on the left of the screen that says Free Newsletter with a space underneath for your email address. Don't worry, your email address will not be sold or shared. Please adjust your spam filters to accept email from BellaOnline. You will receive a confirmation email to ensure that your email client is letting our messages through. If you do not receive this confirmation email please check your spam folder. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Again, welcome to our site and please visit us again.
