Lime Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe
I list the weights of each item so you can see how they compare in my spreadsheet. If you want to weigh your own ingredients, you can plug those numbers into the spreadsheet to get your own exact nutritional value.
1/2 banana - 64g
1/2 cup blueberry - 83g
8 strawberries - 320g
6-8 baby carrots - 60g
handful spinach - 60g
1/4 cup pomegranate - 34g
1 cup unsweetened almond milk - 234g
1 scoop vanilla protein powder - 35g
1 Tbsp lime juice - 15g
1 Tbsp agave - 20g
Our Blendtec will chew right through the ice. If you're using a different blender, you might want to pre-crush it. Other than that, everything pretty much goes right into the blender and the button is pressed. A few minutes later, the smoothie is ready!
This makes two servings of shake. The values per serving are:
total carb: 38.2
net carb: 31.8
vitamin C: 148%
So you're getting great protein, fiber, and vitamin C here. The carb values aren't appropriate for induction, but they're fine for many other stages. This is a good smoothie to have on your list of options because of the many great ingredients in here - spinach, carrot, pomegranate, blueberry, plus that lime juice too. If you like your flavors citrussy you can definitely increase the lime quantity to kick that up a notch. Feel free to experiment!
Our cost per serving is $2.33 with most of that coming from the blueberry and strawberry. Support those farmer's markets to get better pricing!
