Adding Essential Oil to Your Massage Blend
While exercise, nutrition and a lifestyle change are extremely important to your health and well-being, massage can have a profound effect on you as well. A good massage will help in relieving stagnate energy, inflammation and bring relief to sore muscles. On the other hand when you introduce essential oils and the magic they work, not only do they help your body feel better, they’ve been known to restore zest to your life.

Depending on the massage technique, using essential oils can help speed up circulation, release toxin as well as stimulate your brain. Massage, while known to put you in a relaxing state, can boost vitality by releasing stress and strain, not to mention ease muscle tension.

Regular massage has been known to provide you with the ability to breathe deeply and feel energetic. Most of you think that all of this has to be accomplished by a professional masseuse. Not necessarily. Ok, I’ll admit, to have a nice pair of warm hands manipulating my body is an awesome feeling. However, when that’s not possible, you’re more than capable of giving yourself a neck and shoulder massage.

Here are a few Recipes

Relieving Anxiety

4 teaspoons of sweet almond oil
2 teaspoons of St Johns Wort

or

4 teaspoons almond Oil
5 drops of Bergamot essential oil
3 drops3 drops of Geranium essential oil
1 drop of Ginger essential oil


or

4 teaspoons of almond oil
3 drops of Rosemary essential oil
2 drops of Lemon essential oil
1 drop of Thyme essential oil

Good Night

1 ounce of sweet almond oil
7 drops of Bergamot essential oil
3 drops of Pine essential oil
1 drop of Ginger essential oil

Massage therapist often blend oils to meet your specific challenges. So the next time you schedule an appointment, ask if they use essential oils. If they do, your massage session is bound to have an aromatic essence like no other.
