January 27 2008 PC Advice Newsletter

Hi,

Once again - to any of my readers who are football fans - GO PATS!

I decided to take a break from the real technical information this week and write about something a little more fun and relaxing. When programmers design software they often include secrets (or Easter Eggs) that are little hints, cheats or messages hidden within the software (who says geeks have no sense of humor?) which are activated with the proper keystrokes. This article list some common Easter Eggs available in the games that ship with Windows XP - in some cases some of these Easter Eggs have been around since the first version of Windows!

Articles coming soon include how to use the included Windows utilities to fix a personal computer and a review of the Yoggie gatekeeper.

Happy Geeking!

Easter Eggs for Games in Windows XP
Have a little fun and kick back and relax with a few games - with a twist. When a developer creates a game or software they frequently include "easter eggs" or secret that make the program perform differently - this article covers some basic "easter-eggs" hidden in the games in Windows XP. Enjoy!
