With the change in the weather here in Seattle, I've been indoors a bit more. Well, I figured, this is as good a time as ever to give my life a spring cleaning.
I've been pulling everything out of the closets, making piles of donations for Goodwill, determining what I actually wear and love, and rearranging how these things are stored. I really got rid of a lot of things. It's been productive and I feel good knowing that this pruning serves to make my life simpler. I can also feel good that my excess clothing is passed along to others who could use them.
It's not that my house is instantly organized, but at least my closet is. I feel lighter and ready to tackle something else.
Breaking down large tasks into smaller goals can keep us all from feeling overwhelmed. Over the course of a year, our lives come with a great deal of upkeep, monitoring and pruning. I've pulled together a sample chart of possible yearly activities that you can re-write as needed to reflect your own needs.
Simplify Your Year
This month-by-month listing of what upkeep activities to focus on throughout the year will keep you from feeling overwhelmed by the massive amount of upkeep our daily lives can require!
