*If your box of brown sugar has become rock hard, don’t toss it away. Place a slice of fresh white bread in the can or bag of sugar and close tightly. In a few hours, your sugar will be ready to use.

*The Zwieback toast (by Nabisco) that is given to teething babies is delicious with hot chai or coffee--it‘s o.k. to dunk. For a real treat spread a Zweiback with a bit of canned chocolate frosting and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Serve with tea or milk.
