As leaves cover the ground in a tapestry of fall my favorite tree to visit is the Ginkgo Biloba in the Jardin des Plantes. Go and say hello to her and roll around in the yellow leaves if you are in Paris on a blue-skied day.

Summer closed festively with Rock en Seine despite the fact that Amy Winehouse cancelled(very last minute) for the second year running. If you were in attendance hurry to the site to secure an 18 euro reimbursement on next years ticket.

The Fete de Ganesh, also in August, brought the Indian community out in the streets to honor the elephant-headed. Carrying flags, wearing totems of fruit and feather, and balancing candles atop heads they paraded up and down the streets of the 18th arrondissement.
