Hello!
It's October, and in my part of Northern California that means it's "Ren Faire" time! I love Renaissance Faires and try to get to at least one every year. Many of these Faires are put on by members of the SCA, or Society for Creative Anachronism.
If you love the Renaissance and want to gather together with other devotees, then the SCA is for you!
By joining the SCA or participating in SCA-sponsored events you will gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the daily lives of those who lived in the Renaissance period. You'll also have the opportunity to meet a lot of great folks who share your interest in the Renaissance!
Aren't familiar with the SCA? Then this article is for you!
Here's the latest article from the Renaissance site at BellaOnline.com.
SCA - The Society for Creative Anachronism
An international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts, skills and traditions of pre-17th-century Europe, the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) was established in 1966.
