We are getting close to the end of the series How Computers Work with this weeks article about software. This article details the different types of software available for the personal computer.

Over the next few articles, I will be working on tying together all the articles about How Computers Work to show how the different parts and pieces join together to create an entire system. I am also going to try to post some reviews of current technology for those who are looking at the holidays as a time to increase their geeky gadget collection.
