The world is celebrating Valentine’s day today. Maybe you had special plans for your loved ones for this day of love. As I was pondering over V – day celebrations, I thought of the many millions of people for whom there will be no flowers, no gifts, no sweet messages and no love. I know most people end Valentine’s Day feeling a want for love than feeling loved. These thoughts took me to explore love from the Bible. I hope these reflections take you to the one place where there is no lack of love, the bosom of God

Jesus’ last hours before He died were marked by unpleasant events and traumatizing experiences. Jesus went through these testing times not because He was powerless over His accusers but because He acted in obedience to God’s will. This Lenten devotion on suffering is a call to draw close to God, whose desperate love for you did not even spare His own Son.
