Welcome to the
BellaOnline Crochet newsletter 2nd February 2007.
New on the site!
This week you will find a two part interview with Annie Modesitt,
designer, writer and teacher – many of you will know Annie
both from her designs and also as the editor of the Crochet Pattern a
Day calendars. The interview can be found here
In time for Valentines Day you will also find a quick and easy design
for a crocheted heart which has lots of applications! This can
be found here
We’ve started looking at some different crochet stitches and
how they might be used. Instructions for ‘Crazy
Stitch’ have been written and published on the
site. This is a traditional stitch which is referred to in
many antique and vintage patterns which, however, still looks good today.
Instructions for Crazy Stitch can be found here
Amongst the recent posts in the forum are the beginnings of a
conversation about dying with Kool-Aid and having a ‘dye a
long'! A great way to dye up some of those odds and ends of
wool, perhaps with a freeform crochet pattern in
mind. If you are interested in joining in, pop into
the forum and let me know! The crochet forum can be found here.
Please pass this newsletter on to anyone who you feel might be
interested and if you have any comments or suggestions do not hesitate
to let me know!
