February 24 2008 PC Advice Newsletter

Hi,

The end of February is quickly approaching, the Red Sox are in spring training and it is almost time for daylight savings - all the signs that spring is about to be sprung! With spring quickly approaching it is time to think about including the computer in the spring cleaning routine so for the next couple of articles I will be focusing on sprucing up the machine.

There have been two articles posted since the last newsletter. The first article is about customizing the folders in Windows XP to remove the standard boring yellow folder. The second article about the Windows XP system information utility which is used to help diagnose issues with a computer. It is the second article in the series Windows XP System Utilities Overview which will have one more part detailing the system configuration utility

Happy Geeking!

Customize Windows Folders
Spruce up the default, boring yellow Windows XP folders with your own photos, pictures or custom icons. Customize your desktop like it has never been done before!

Windows XP System Information Utility
Having issues with your computer? Not sure how to troubleshoot? Don't despair! Windows XP comes with the System Information utility which can help collect information about your system and aid in the troubleshooting process. It is a great tool to have on hand!
