Beer Fox Tip of the Week:
When pairing beer with foods, consider the base food, as well as the final flavors of sauces, gravies and dressings. A spicy chicken dish with vinaigrette dressing may marry up well with the assertive hoppiness of an Imperial IPA. That same chicken, when dressed with a peach barbecue sauce and sizzled on a hot grill, pairs better with the nutty molasses flavor of Nut Brown Ale.
Tenderloins of beef in their own juices reflect the rich, complex flavors of a Robust Porter. The flavors of grilled T-Bone with strips of marinated zucchini and peppers are better highlighted with an American Strong Ale, aged in oak.
Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:
This is so weird that it will boggle your mind; and, you will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't!!!
1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand... Your foot will change direction!!!
I told you so.. And there is nothing you can do about it.

For all of us who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you open a box of chocolates:
Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride. With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.
Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a white bag on the seat next to Sally.
"What in bag?" asked the old woman.
Sally looked down at the white bag and said, "It's a box of chocolates. I got it for my husband".
"The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said: "Good trade."

Humpy's Sockeye Red IPA - Midnight Sun Brewing, Anchorage, Alaska, USA
Style: American IPA
The coppery amber body sits like a crystalline jewel in the glass. A creamy, persistent, off-white head stands at attention, enticing your nose to take in the euphoric party that awaits. Ahhh! A power punch for the hophead! The olfactory senses are teased with citrusy orange and grapefruit aromas, with an ever-so-slight shading of malt whispering in the wind. Flavors are big - malty sweetness taking the edge off the assertive hops for a moment, then yield to the Centennial and Cascade hops that make thier presence known. A medium to full body is a pleaser, while the creamy, viscous quality paints the inner recesses of the mind. A lusty brew for a hop lover's fantasy!
Cheers!
