What is Joy?
Joy is the sweetest, most piercing emotion. The existence of joy puts everything in perspective. It explains many things about truth, reality, life and death, love and loss and heaven and everlasting life and the goodness of God and just about any other mysterious thing you can name.
From my heart to yours
I’ve re-read some C.S. Lewis this week in preparation for my article on joy. I seriously cannot wait to meet that man in heaven. I hope to ramble along a country path with him and listen to his musings on whatever he’s musing about! I also just read The Lotus and the Cross, by Ravi Zacharias, which features an imaginary conversation between Jesus and Buddha. Lots of info in a short little book, engagingly presented.
