My name is Lori Chidori Phillips, and I'd like to introduce myself as the new Marriage site editor for BellaOnline.com. Perhaps a few of you might recognize that I formerly edited this site back in 2008 and I'm happy to be back.

I'm in the process of reposting all of my most popular articles that were archived when another editor took over, in addition to writing brand new pieces for you. It is my goal to build a fantastic community of people who value their marriages, to provide rare insights and resources and be a safe place for us to share our trials and triumphs along the way.

You can read about my background on the author's bio page on the Marriage site, but here's just a quick bit about me: My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, during which we faced nearly every challenge that tests a marriage. And, in speaking with and counseling both men and women about their relationships, I've gleaned a lot of real world, practical, no-nonsense information about how couples work--or don't. I love to share these nuggets of wisdom so everyone can help their unions thrive in a time when marriage, as a religious and social contract, is fast losing its appeal.

But I still believe that love and marriage belong together. I believe that loving couples still want a formal declaration to announce to the world that they belong together.
