Introduction -

Welcome to another issue of the Newsletter Communique. I'd like to welcome all newcomers and subscribers to this newsletter.

Here in the Northeast, especially in Connecticut we are currently preparing for a *blizzard* as they're calling it. Everyone is scrambling to the stores to get their last odds and ends they need to weather the storm. Last time we had a blizzard conditions our Governor shut down the state. We are waiting to hear if he will do the same this time. If you live in the Northeast I hope you are prepared with candles and supplies as there is a good chance the power will go out or be intermittent at best.

Feb. is here. Many retailers and companies are having sales and special discounts in honor of Valentine's Day and also Presidents Day. We do celebrate two of our U.S. Presidents' birthdays this month, which are President Abraham Lincoln, Feb. 12 and George Washington, Feb. 22. Along with these two birthdays we have some fun and humorous days to celebrate. Check out these days coming up -

*Feb 9 is Toothache day
*Feb. 10 is the Chinese New Year
*Feb 15 is National Gumdrop day

Black History Month, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday and Lent are the major observance addressed in this weeks current article.
