St Patrick’s Day
is nearly with us, however there is still time for some Irish themed
crochet. I have put together some ideas for St
Patrick’s Day crochet and this article can be found here.
I have also published a design for a shamrock inspired pot mat and the
project can be found here.
Lily Chin's new book,
‘Couture Crochet Workshop’, has recently been
published. This is an excellent book, packed full of
technique tips as well as 24 interesting projects. A review
of the book can be found here.
Crochet bobbles
are a great way to add decoration or interest to crocheted
items. These are extremely easy to crochet and are very
adaptable. Instructions and some ideas on how to use them can
be found here.
Spring is hopefully not too far away now, and it is time to think of spring and early summer crochet. If you have any suggestions for spring focussed crochet items which would be good to include in a future article, please forward the information to me.
Some feedback
In a recent article I wrote about setting up and keeping a crochet
blog. I got a number of responses to this article including
one from Pam Gillette about her blog, the Knotty Generation.
Pam said:-
“I've made a
ton of friends through blogging, launched my design career via my blog,
gained the opportunity to be on TV showing my crochet, all through my
blog.”
I thought that this was a great comment about crochet blogging. Pam’s blog can
be found here.
If you have any comments or crochet related stories that you would like to share, please let me know - either by email or why not pop into the forum.
