March 16 2008 PC Advice Newsletter

Hi,

I hope everyone is enjoying the longer days and anticipating spring as much as I am! It is right around the corner which means it is time for some spring cleaning which includes removing the cobwebs from the computer. In the next newsletter I will provide information and resources on how to spruce up the system for spring - it doesn't take long and will help the computer run smoother and hopefully prevent issues in the future.

This week the article is the last article in the series "Windows XP System Utilities" and it covers the last utility which is the System Configuration Utility. The utility is useful for aiding in the process of diagnosing system performance, errors, slow startups or conflicts between software applications. It will not show you the problem - still need some detective work - but provides some tools that make finding the issue easier.

Come by and visit PC Advice Forums for even more content, games, contest and information about technology and computers..

Happy Geeking!

Windows XP System Configuration Utility
Trying to determine what is wrong with a computer can be a difficult task but with the Windows System Configuration Utility it can be easier to find the offending software or service. This article is the last in the series about using the Windows XP System Utilities to resolve system issues.

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
