Salut mes amis!
Hello my friends!
Paris days have been rainy and cold with no sign of Printemps save the blossoms that were coerced out prematurely, by a short lived wave of warmth and soleil.
No better remedy for the rainy day blues than an afternoon spent amongst art. So I dropped into the Musée D'Orsay and took in their temporary exhibits:
Alexandre Charpentier's curvilinear Art Nouveau designs and
Léon Gimpel's early 1900's photography.
Both exhibits part before April’s end. Take a look here…

I've been thinking about sweets, as usual, and wanted to introduce you to a dessert...
The Macaron
Delicate rows of cookie sandwiches adorn bakery cases with Easter basket hues. Perfumed in flavors like violet, raspberry, spice bread, and chocolate, they are served in the likes of Paris's Ladurée where they were conceived in the 1930's.

Have you ever tried your hand at making them?
