Irish Culture

March 5 2008 Irish Culture Newsletter

Here's the latest article from the Irish Culture site at BellaOnline.com.

Several new articles have ben placed on the site. The first has to do with the life and times of St Patrick -- from his captivity and being sold into slavery, to his return as the second bishop of Ireland.
The second is the story of the "Nine Irish" --nine men who were condemned to the penal colonies in Australia and who over the years gained their freedom and rose to varying positions of responsibility both in Australia nd in America.
Hopefully my new ebook: A St. Patrick's Day Guide & Other Things Irish, will be available towards the end of this first week of March or early next week. Details will follow.

Easter is also on the way. Like so many religious "holy-days" it is also becoming more and more secularised, losing much of its original premise to egg hunts, fuzzy rabbits and a good excuse for a "binge" session. You can enter your thoughts on this in the Irish Culture Forum section.

BTW----the Low-Carb site here on Bella is running a competition for those who wish to lose weight . The time frame is from now until May 1st and there is a $50 Amazon gift card for the winner. You might want to look over that site too.

Music: Johnny Mc Evoy

You can go to "YouTube" and search for music by Johnny Mc Evoy -----one of Ireland's most distinguished and yet under-rated singer/songwriters.
