Where is Your Armor?
I like a charming nineteenth century novel as well as the next person. But for serious escapist reading, give me a near-future post-apocalyptic dystopia every time. I want to see life stripped down to the bare bones, in scenarios where people’s character, and beliefs determine their every move. Keep reading, we’re heading for Ephesians!
Lyman Talks to a God in Whom he Doesn’t Believe
SpyCam recently secured this secret footage, which we’re sharing with you today exclusively on WebToob. Unfortunately, the video was obscured by a fly on the web-cam, and the audio was quite uneven, so we’ve made a transcript of the footage for your enjoyment.
From my heart to yours
Do you feel the pressure mounting? Perhaps not, perhaps you are being blessed with a time of quiet rest—I truly hope so. But my heart is burdened as I read the news, and as I consider how ill-prepared we might be to do our Lord’s bidding as the world ricochets from one disaster to the next. I’m not talking about sending money to help Japan or our brothers and sisters in hostile nations. That kind of helping is at the tips of our fingers all the time. I’m thinking of the work of intercession, of being ready to take people in, of determining to stand for our faith in the face of whatever persecution might be ahead. Surely it is time to carefully count the cost and gird our loins in readiness to pay it. Even so, come Lord Jesus!
