Someone remarked that, after reading my articles, she thought I must have a perfect marriage. And I laughed. Apparently, she hadn't read my "humor" essays (a euphemism for "venting" essays) or my editor bio on the site!

Yes, I believe I have a great marriage. We're happy together, still very much in love...but that certainly does not mean that it's always smooth sailing or that we don't argue. We hit rough patches and we do disagree. But as years pass, we do argue less and less. Maturity has some benefits. And more importantly, when friction occurs, we learn something important about ourselves and each other. Something good can come from the occasional conflict: growth!

Fighting doesn't always indicate a troubled marriage!
