A truck driver was driving along on the freeway and noticed a sign that read: 'Low Bridge Ahead.' Before he knows it, the bridge is right in front of him and his truck gets wedged under it. Cars are backed up for miles.
Finally a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car and walks to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got stuck, huh?'"
The truck driver says, "No, I was delivering this bridge and I ran out of gas."

Beer News:

Monk's Uncle Triple by Pike Brewing was their first beer to use Belgian yeast. Originally brewed as a Spring seasonal, it was first released at Brouwer's Cafe in Seattle, and has won a readers' choice award as "Best Belgian Ale" in 2008. With the most recent expansion, Pike Brewing has added more fermentation tanks, and with this greater capacity, will be making Monk's Uncle available year round due to its strong following. It is made with organic malt and organic sugar, a Westmalle yeast strain, hints of honey, and a touch of fruit and spice.

Head Brewer Drew Cluley has reformulated Pike's Tandem Double with the Westmalle Belgian Yeast, and has added organic sugar and coriander to his Gold Medal winning brown ale.

Craft Beer of the Week Award

2008 Black Tulip Trippel Ale - New Holland Brewing Company, New Holland, Michigan, USA
Style: Tripel 9 % ABV

This clear golden body supports a frothy, ivory head, while intricate lacing clings to the inner surfaces of my crystalline glass. The nose is bready, yeasty and mildly tart, with spicy fruit. On the tongue, a gentle wash of honey-like malt is balanced by subtle tartness and crisp spiciness. Fruit lingers in the back of the mouth. The 9% ABV never shows its head, making this one that could catch you without forewarning. Superb!
