"33 Postcards" is a film about people attempting to connect to each other, so I thought the quote from Welles was appropriate this week.

The film is an Australian/Chinese co-production. The Australian film industry is interested in partnering with China in order to widen its audience and increase its financing base. The annual Beijing International Film Festival takes place April 16th-23rd this year. As part of the festival, on April 20th, the 5th annual Australia-China Film Industry Forum will take place. Discussions will focus on future co-productions between the two countries. If any new films are announced, you can look for that information posted on the Drama Movies Forum page.





33 Postcards Film Review

"33 Postcards" is a unique film about a young woman's search for identity. Mei Mei, orphaned as a toddler, travels from China to Australia to meet her foreign sponsor. Will he accept her as his daughter? Directed by Pauline Chan, this movie is a meditation on family, love and redemption.
