I was raised to think prayer was about either thanking God for something good, or whining about stuff I didn't like and wanted changed. Turns out, neither is strictly true! Making the daily effort to align myself with the spiritual aspects of life, and taking the time to be quiet and centered, will help deal with everything that happens. Prayer is one way to reach that stillness; meditation helps me listen, as well as see potential paths and solutions to the inevitable dilemmas.
