Not Like a Math Book

I’m happy to say that the Bible is not like a math book. You can certainly start on page one and work your way through to the end, but you’re going to get basic counting, multiplication, addition, algebra and differential equations all intermingled on just about every page. This is a good thing.

From my heart to yours

I truly hope that you all find as much joy and comfort in reading Scripture as I have experienced recently. I know that sometimes it is difficult to make daily Bible reading a priority, especially when your life is so very busy, or when the portion you’re slogging through seems dry or irrelevant. Let me encourage you to persevere, and to make that bit of reading a no-matter-what priority every day. You will be rewarded beyond all expectation, at the most unexpected times, and through the most surprising passages. God will speak through His word to the most pressing needs of your heart and your life. Try it, and let me know how it goes!
