Finding a Teacher can be a Challenge
Within the American Indian community, finding a teacher of traditional, natural healing can be a challenge. There are reasons for the obstacles a prospective student must work through, and these are based in history.

Western medicine does have its limitations and can be more focused on treating, rather than preventing. There are many who want to learn the natural way to promote health and treat conditions. We've lost so much knowledge over the years. What remains must be preserved and passed on. You might think the techniques and treatments developed and used for thousands of years, the Elders would share freely. That's not the case, but there are ways to find a teacher and learn.
