Hello everyone,

Did I mention how pleased I am that college grades aren't influenced by chance? Not very influenced, anyway – we can't determine what exactly will be on the test. All we can really do is improve our own skill to lessen the impact chance will have. This week's article touches down on the probability topic I so adore again. What use dice have in RPGs, what they represent and how randomness can affect our own skillfulness in life: this article explains each point.

What's with those numbers on the character sheet? Is this a role-playing game or a math quiz?! There's a good reason numbers, dice and RPGs go so well together: probability. Games involving dice simulate facets of the world we live in, including randomness. Here's an analysis of how that works.
