Welcome to the May Walking Newsletter!

I hope you have been enjoying your walking whether indoors or out. Here the woods are full of bluebells and the sight and smell of them is just so lovely - why not check out a wild flower walk near you? Spring is a great time to go walking outside – and take the family and/or friends

I know how busy you are - it is so easy to say "Well, I'll just do this and then I'll go out walking - oops too late, I've got to do some work/washing/cook dinner/go shopping etc".

Even small changes like walking once a week will add months to your life – walk several times a week and that changes to added years!
You are in charge of your body so give it a treat go walking and reap the health benefits.

To get yourself into a more positive frame of mind about your walking read these tips

If you would like the companionship of a club or group then find out more about these groups near you and if you would like the challenge of a charity walk (they aren’t all 26 miles!) check out this article . Charity walks are a marvellous way of raising money for the cause of your choice and a good way of making new friends as well as getting fitter and having fun.
