I had some leftover cream corn that I needed to use, so I set about making a corn fritter recipe. What I got when I started frying gives a whole new meaning to the term "hot mess!" After messing with the ingredients for awhile, I knew that I had a bowl of batter that would never be good fritters.
Creating new recipes is a lot of fun and a great way to use up ingredients that are taking up space in the refrigerator. What happens when the new recipe doesn't quite work out like you planned? Here are some ideas for salvaging your ingredients.
