Summer is also a good time for reorganizing and that is in progress on the website. Under the Pow-Wow & Events category, there is a new topic to help you find one in your area, Pow-Wow Calendar Websites. Here’s links to the major websites discussed in this week’s article, the ones with the best lists I could find. If I somehow missed one of your dependable favorites, please let me know.
Another new edition to the site is our Ancestry Category. This includes articles on researching American Indian heritage in your family and a new topic, Genealogy Resources. With all the heavy smoke outside, I’ve been stuck inside, but made good use of that limitation. Links to Genealogy websites with varying resources are in this new topic. After thousands of clicks and much review, these are ones I can recommend with no fees required. I was amazed with the quality, free information available.
If one of your summer projects is to finally get that family tree started, this list of websites, along with the tutorials they include, would be a good place to begin.
