Every time I eat fresh strawberries or other berries during the pollen season I get an itchy, almost swollen throat. I call it the pollen-food attack because it's caused by a cross reaction between the pollen in the air and the protein in the food. It's actually called Oral Allergy Sydrome (OAS) and is quite common in seasonal allergy sufferers. Read about this syndrome and best way to deal with it in the latest article from the Allergies and Colds site at BellaOnline.com.
