It's summer in the northern hemisphere and I live in a resort area, so I'm really noticing the increase in traffic and visitors now that school is out. I'm not sure if summer camp as I remember it was in the 1950s even exists any more, but there are lots of day camps on all sorts of topics, and week long sports or natural history camps happening around where I live. Campground or retreat settings can be a wonderful way to leave the business of everyday life behind and have some peaceful timeout.
