We’re right in the middle of this long, hot, summer and the novelty might be wearing off for a few of us, mainly the kids, so for those of you with increasingly bored kiddos at home - I feel for you!

So take your mind off of the heat enjoy some knock-knock puns and a corny joke and read about one of my favorite weight loss advice websites ever. And don't worry - by popular demand there's only two knock-knocks this week ...

Knock Knock!
Who's there?
Dexter.
Dexter who?
Dexter halls with boughs of holly.

And here's our corny joke of the week:

There is a new virus going around called "Work."

If you receive any kind of "Work" at all, whether via email, telephone, or simply handed to you by a colleague ... DO NOT OPEN IT.

This has been circulating around our building for months and those who have been tempted to open "work" or even look at "work" have found that their social life is deleted and their brain ceases to function properly.

If you do encounter "work" via email or are faced with any "work" at all, then to purge the virus, send an email to your boss with the words "I've had enough. I'm off to the pub."

The "work" should automatically be forgotten by your brain.

If you receive "work" in paper-document form, simply lift the document and drag the "work" to your garbage can.

Put on your hat and coat and skip to the nearest bar with two friends and order three pints of beer (or rum punch).

After repeating this action 10 times, you will find that "work" will no longer be of any relevance to you and that "Scooby Doo" was the greatest cartoon ever.

Send this message to everyone in your address book. If you do NOT have anyone in your address book, then the "work" virus has already corrupted your life.

Have fun passing this message along because we all love sharing quotes. Enjoy a great week and take care in the heat! Here's your list of this week’s quotes:

MONDAY: (my personal motto by the way)

"Never eat more than you can lift."
~ Miss Piggy.

TUESDAY:

"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."
~ Jean-Paul Sartre

WEDNESDAY:

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything."
~ Plato

THURSDAY:

"Do not spend time beating on a wall hoping to transform it into a door."
~ Coco Chanel

FRIDAY:

"I won’t say ours was a tough school, but we had our own coroner's office next to the school nurse. We used to write essays like ‘What I’m going to be if I grow up.’"
~ Lenny Bruce

SATURDAY:

"Once you have mastered time, you will understand that most people overestimate what they can accomplish in one year and underestimate what they can achieve in one day!"
~ Anthony Robbins

SUNDAY:

"I've observed that all successful people know exactly how and why they are going to use the same 1,440 minutes in every day that we are all given --

This is why I think most people live and die with their life's music unplayed, silent inside of them --

They just knew that the next minute out of those 1,440 minutes would be the perfect one at the right place with the right people to make their move --

But that special, different minute never came; they never do --
Every minute is identical to the next to the next to the next --

It's you, your voice, your words, your gifts to this world that makes the minutes, not the other way around."

~ JK Rowling

Here's to YOUR life's music -- may you play it at will!
