I am writing this newsletter while walking on my treadmill at 1 mile an hour. I heard that it's good to move even a little all through the day. One of the worst things you can do for your health is live a sedentary lifestyle of watching TV and sitting to use the computer.
So I placed a wooden board across the arms of my treadmill and now I can go on the Internet and move a little all through the day. It took a while to get it right, especially the height of the keyboard. The keyboard should be at a height that doesn't put strain on the shoulders.
You can buy a professional TrekDesk for about $500 and the height can be adjusted on that, but I was determined to come up with a cheaper option. You can see a photograph of me walking slowly on my treadmill in this week's article which is about simple things you can do through the day to keep moving.
