July is American Beer Month!
With the advent of the Craft Beer Revolution, America has become the envy of the world. There is not a spot on earth with more diversity, experimentation, flavor and passion associated to the brewing of beer. Styles that had nearly become extinct have been resurrected, due to an enthusiastic environment of serious crafters, both in Homebrew Clubs and in brewing operations with a passion for this diversity.
Sample the richness that is the signature of Americana. You may wish to begin planning for two dynamite fests on the American Scene today!
Great American Beer Festival runs from September 29 through October 1, 2005 at the Colorado Convention Center. There will be 350 U.S. breweries onsite, with 1,600 beers on tap! For GABF details:

Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:
A man stood on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The night was rolling and no cars passed. The storm was so strong, he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car come towards him and stop. The guy, without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door to realize that nobody was behind the wheel.
The car started slowly. The guy looked at the road and saw a curve coming his way. Scared, he started praying, and begged for his life. He hadn't come out of shock, when just before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and moved the wheel. The guy, paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared every time before a curve.
The guy gathered strength, got out of the car and ran to the nearest town. Wet and in shock, he ran into a cantina and asked for two shots of tequila, and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he went through. A silence enveloped everybody when they realized the guy was crying and wasn't drunk.
About half an hour later, two guys walked into the same cantina, and one said to the other. "Look Pepe, that's the character who climbed into the car while we were pushing."

The latest statistics are in! Craft Beer Sales jumped 7% in 2004, making this the fastest growing segment of the beverage alcohol industry. Beer sales account for over $82 billion in sales, generate over 1.2 million jobs, and pay over $5 billion per year in state and federal excise tax. Over a billion bucks are spent each year in advertising. Who ever said the movie industry was big???

Deepest ruby red with hints of orange in hue, with frothy off-white head and a tight little rim of microscopic carbonation.
Fills the nose with dark dried fruit aromas, alcohol, and a kick of hops. Initially smooth and sweet, with a complex balance between flickering biscuit and molasses and an inferno of hops, non-cloying, and seductively warming in the throat. Dangerously smooth on the palate...Superb!
