It is very hot and humid in my area right now. I have been enjoying many frosty melon slushies! These are so easy to make. Yes, I say that a lot, but I love easy.

Melon Slushy
Try this with watermelon!

1 cup frozen melon of choice
1 cup fresh melon of the same variety

Whirl the fresh melon in a blender. Add the frozen melon and blend just to mix. You're done! Enjoy! Makes 1 serving.

My new article this week features a recipe using fresh summer peaches. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did. If you want a fun project to do with your kids, save a couple of the peach pits. Wash them well, soak them overnight, and plant them in pots indoors. Next spring, transplant the saplings to your yard and you will have your own peach trees.

Peach Brown Betty Recipe
A twist on the traditional apple betty, this fat-free dessert stars juicy fresh peaches with a hint of orange and warm sweet spices.

A very interesting question was posted in the forum this week: How much more does it cost to eat healthy?

Do you think a healthy diet is expensive? Do you have any tips you'd like to share for healthy meals that don't break the bank? Stop by and share them with us!
