The holiday season is looming up on the horizon so if you want to lose weight for the party season or keep your weight under control - then why not start a walking plan today?
Walking is good for you and it only takes 20 minutes a day to start yourself on the path to a longer and fitter life. Remember to give yourself time to get your body into walking mode
Start off slowly – think of a car moving through the gears –this is how you need to treat your body – starting off in a rush is bad for you, you will get out of breath or injure yourself, so take your time and allow your body and brain to kick into its walking mode. That way you won’t get discouraged.

Why not help your children get into a walking routine that will benefit them all their lives - check out tips for getting kids walking and walking with a stroller or pushchair and get them to make you a walking log or make one yourself - they are a good way to record how you are getting on with your daily walking program.
