Greetings Everyone -

The last day of September is here. I learned yesterday that the school my 11 year old attends is closed on Monday for an unassigned day. It sure would be nice to get advanced notice of these school closings to prepare for having a kid home for the day.

Jane Goodall is going to be at the Los Angeles Zoo tomorrow, but with the crowds expected it will be too much for us to go and keep my nonverbal son safe during the chaos.

My son is really back into the Pokemon phase again. Seems all the other fifth graders are, which helped sparked the renewed interest. We just visited amazon.com to put a Gameboy advance on his wish list, two sets of cards and the movie Pokemon 8.

Each Sunday Toys R Us is including small circulars which makes it easy to decide on what to start getting for the holidays.

Friday seems to be a great night for kids on television with offerings on several channels that are worthwhile and new.
