Fall is here and Pow Wow season is in full swing. This week's article is about something every lady and young girl needs.
Making a Dance Shawl
The energy and joy of dancing in the Circle can’t be adequately described, only experienced. For women and girls, dance shawls are proper attire. As simple or as elaborate as one may desire, the possibilities are endless, but the basics of making one are easy.

Right now, my dining table is piled with fabric, fringe, ribbons, and design sketches. My goal is to have all three fringed and ready for dancing by October. Appliques and ribbon work will have to wait for cooler weather. While the basics are easy, these do require time. Now that the fabric and fringe are selected, I'm thoroughly enjoying planning the designs, and all the inspirational photos on-line.
