Crafts for Kids

February 26 2007 Crafts for Kids Newsletter

I am thrilled to be your Crafts for Kids editor. I enjoy doing and designing crafts. I have designed several different crafts, some with success, some without. I am eager to share my successes.

I have a special needs son and I have found that doing crafts is a great way for him to express himself and to meet some of his sensory needs. I worked with preschool aged kids who needed extra help with fine motor control and I found crafts to be a great way for the kids to improve their fine motor control.

I am going to have some of the more complex crafts broken down into easier steps. Those that can’t break down, I will give ways for parents and care givers to adapt the crafts for the skill levels of younger children who want to do what their big brother/sister do.
