It's an unseasonably hot day here in New England so it hardly seems the time to talk about knitting! But summer is a great time to teach a kid to knit, plus it will give kids something to do on a rainy (or too hot!) summer day. Knitting is also portable, so kids can easily take projects along on long car rides.
