December is full of holidays and holy days dear to the hearts of many people around the world. Though we enjoy these activities with family and friends, Bahá'ís do not have holy days at this time of year. It frees us to be of service to those who do, such as donating time to community projects and covering for colleagues at work. It is also a time when a lot of events are associated with alcohol - which Bahá'ís do not imbibe for religious reasons.
This newsletter shares the links of two articles this week from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com.
Bahá'ís and Christmas at Our House
If Baha´is accept Christ, why isn't Christmas a major holiday for them?

and
Bahá'ís and Alcohol
Bahá'í Law expressly forbids the use of alcohol in any way other than for prescribed medical reasons. Can we still have fun? Yes!!

Do feel free to share how you celebrate at this time of year on the Bahá'í site community forum located here -

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message.
